Charles began his CPA practice in 1980. Over the course of many years, Charles’ CPA practice has expanded to cover a comprehensive range of services such as audit (including US audit), tax compliance, cross-border tax advisory, accounting, financial due diligence, internal control, corporate service and business consulting. In recent years, Charles has been assisting his clients in IPO’s and other fund raising activities in Hong Kong and other major capital markets.

With vast experience, in-depth knowledge and extensive social network in Hong Kong and the mainland China, Charles has held many positions in public service. Since 1997, Charles has been serving as a member of the 9th to 12th Selection Committee of the Hong Kong Deputies of The National People's Congress, PRC, and a member of the 9th to 12th CPPCC, Guangzhou Municipal Committee, and is now a Standing Committee Member of the 12th CPPCC, Guangzhou Municipal Committee, and a Deputy Executive Committee Member of the Guangzhou Municipal Committee Hong Kong Members Association Ltd. From 1995 to 2000, he was a member of the Selection Committee for the First Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.

Charles and his firm also act as honorary auditors and/or treasurers for many charitable, professional and social service organizations.
