think ASIA, think HONG KONG
For US companies keen on exploring new markets, business opportunities are emerging in Asia and the Chinese mainland. Hong Kong's close trading relationship with the mainland and the United States, as well as its status as Asia's international trade and financial center, make it the preferred platform for American companies looking to tap new business opportunities in the region.
With the support of a variety of business organizations, the Hong Kong Trade Development Council organized large-scale symposiums in New York and Los Angeles on June 11 and 14, 2013 respectively together with a range of business seminars.
The campaign attracted more than 5,000 participants from over 3,800 companies. They came to hear from more than 60 high-profile speakers, and close to 200 Hong Kong and Chinese mainland business representatives visited the US to meet and explore new collaborative opportunities with the locals.
