Mr Stephen D. Wortley is the Chair of McMillan's Hong Kong office, a leading Canadian law firm. Stephen's practice emphasizes domestic and international securities and corporate matters. His experience includes TSX and Stock Exchange of Hong Kong listings (including Vancouver-based China Gold’s Stock Exchange of Hong Kong listing), and Chinese outbound M&A transactions into Canada, advising both SOE’s and SME’s. In Hong Kong, Stephen is external counsel for Sunwah International. He is ranked in Corporate M&A by Chambers Global, in China – Mergers and Acquisitions by The Legal Media Group and is listed in The Best Lawyers in Canada (Mergers and Acquisition Law). Stephen has spoken extensively on alternative investment structures in Canada and the role that Hong Kong can play as a jumping off point for those investments. Stephen was born, raised and educated in Vancouver, and now resides in Hong Kong.
