Peter Hanson is a Senior Vice President of HSBC Securities (USA) Inc. He is responsible for delivering the Bank’s global capital raising and risk management hedging activities to the Bank’s commercial banking clients in the Midwest and Mideast U.S.

Prior to joining HSBC, Mr Hanson was a Managing Partner at Astor Capital Management, where he was primary responsible for Trading, Risk and Research, Strategic Marketing and Compliance for the Firms various managed programs.

Prior to Astor Capital, Mr Hanson was a Managing Director with ABN-AMRO, where he held several positions in the Global Markets Division including Head of Corporate Sales for The Americas of Foreign Exchange, Interest Rates, Commodities and Equities derivatives and Head of Corporate Finance Risk Advisory for The Americas.

Prior to ABN-AMRO, Mr Hanson was a Managing Director with Bank of America, where he held several positions in the Derivatives Product Group (“DPG”) and Debt Capital Markets Group (“DCM”) including Senior Originator and Co-Head of North American Marketing (DPG) and Senior Debt Originator (DCM). Mr Hanson has also held positions in global markets with Continental Bank, Bear, Stearns, MHT, Citibank and Wermlandsbanken.

Mr Hanson has over 30 years experience in the financial services industry. Mr Hanson is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison and is a member of The Chicago Council of Global Affairs and the International Association of Financial Engineers. He has been a frequent speaker, moderator and chair at various industry conferences.
