Son of a British Army Officer, then Diplomat, was raised and educated on the Continent of Europe before completing his education in England. His career has consisted in holding senior positions with an English London Advertising Agency, The Times & The Financial Times of London , his own Communications Consultancy and then becoming a Commercial Counsellor with the Government of Ontario, before emigrating to Canada. On arrival in Canada he became the Director of Federal & Provincial Government Relations for a Marketing Company, before joining Canadian Business/Profit Magazines as Special Project Director, becoming the Dir Strategic Alliances/International Affairs with the same publications, who are now owned by Rogers. In this role he continued to work internationally, from Canada to Chile and America to China , Hong Kong and many countries in-between.
He has now retired from Rogers, after 22 years, and runs his own consultancy, specializing in International Government projects. A highlight was organizing a 2 day event for the President & Foreign Minister of Portugal + numerous attending companies.
In addition to his professional career he has held many Directorships and Chairman positions with Volunteer Organizations and is currently Past President of the British Chamber of Trade and Commerce and a Freeman of the City of London.
He was greatly honoured by being awarded the Queen’s Jubilee Medal for “Services to International Trade”.
