Bob Agnes is Executive Vice President and General Manager of Asia-Pacific Operations. In this role, Bob is responsible for strengthening Mitel’s regional leadership and implementing the company strategy in this key geography.
With more than 30 years of experience managing global high-technology organizations focused on telecommunications, Bob is a results-driven leader with deep experience successfully growing businesses, and a track record of achieving strong financial performance and profitability, architecting strategic business acquisitions, and building high-performance management teams.
Bob began his career as a software engineer with Hamilton Standard, a subsidiary of United Technologies, and then moved to a sales engineer position with Tektronix, Inc. in 1985. For the next 21 years, he held various roles with Tektronix, including leading several key businesses. As Vice President and General Manager of the company’s video business from 1999 to 2002, he led the development of a new product roadmap focused on emerging market trends and technology changes. As Vice President and General Manager of Tektronix Berlin from 2002 to 2004, he had P&L responsibility for the worldwide Mobile Protocol Test business. In 2004, he relocated to Shanghai to lead Sales and Operations for the Pacific region, and in 2006 he assumed the role of Vice President of Strategic Initiatives for Tektronix.
Since 2007, Bob has held the positions of President, Asia-Pacific for Lectra, S.A.; Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Marketing for X-Rite America, Inc.; and Senior Vice President, Worldwide Marketing and President Asia-Pacific for PartMiner Worldwide, Inc.
Bob earned his Associate of Science in Electrical Engineering (ASEE) from Hartford State Technical College (Hartford, Connecticut), and a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Connecticut School of Engineering. He also holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from George Fox University (Newburg, Oregon).
