Nicholas Brooke is the Chairman of the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation.
The Corporation was established in 2001 with the objectives of fostering Hong Kong’s role as a hub for innovation and technology and R&D and to take advantage of Hong Kong’s unique position as the historic gateway to Southern China. Since its inception, the Corporation has built, and now manages, a wide range of advanced facilities which are now the home of over 400 companies employing over 9,500 people. The Corporation is currently involved with the construction of Phase III of Science Park with a particular emphasis on sustainability and green technologies which it is intended will provide solutions to many of the issues raised in Mainland China’s latest “5 Year Plan”.
Mr Brooke was awarded the Silver Bauhinia Star (SBS) on June 30, 2012 in recognition of his distinguished public and community service, particularly his significant contribution in promoting innovation and technology development in Hong Kong.
